Part 1: I'm splitting this into parts so it doesn't get too long and exasperating. hehe

“Bella??” Charlie called nervously. I laid in bed, my god-like boyfriend Edward at my side. His body went stiff and he sat up bolt right. Alice sat at the window, her eyes wide with terror. It was late, a little after midnight. Edward threw the window and Alice dashed in.
“They’re here. I don’t know why, but they’re here!” Alice was frantic, her words running together in confused chaos.
“Who’s here?” I stood beside Alice, my gray sweatpants and jersey baggy on my body. I looked from Alice to Edward and back again. Charlie’s booted feet pounded up the stairs, making Edward and Alice pause before disappearing in a flash somewhere in the shadows of my bedroom.
Charlie opened the door and four cloaked figures brushed past him into my room. The Volturi. My heart thudded to a stop as they closed the door in Charlie’s face and threw back their hoods, “it is time Isabella Swan.”
Edward was in front of me before I could speak, his body a shield blocking me from the view of the other vampires. A low hiss erupted from deep in Edward’s throat. It scared me but Alice was already ushering me silently to the window.
Turning from the Volturi as I bumped into the frame of the window, Emmett stood on the roof, his muscle corded arms reached out toward me. Rosalie was with him, Carlisle, Esme and Jasper standing in the yard waiting. Hurrying into Emmett’s arms, he enclosed me, leaving Edward and Alice to hiss at the Italian vampires.
Before Emmett swept me off the roof, I heard the small voices of the Volturi hissing commands at Edward and Alice, “she is to be changed immediately or we will kill her!”
Esme hugged me as I let go of Emmett. Rosalie gave me a gentle smile and ran her hand over my hair. She’d been nicer to me since she’d told me her story. I was still uneasy around her, but I knew she was trying to be nice to me and not be as bitter.
The Volturi left through the front door, Charlie standing in the doorway as I turned and looked at him. His eyes were curious. I stood just out of the shadows of the tree in the front yard, alone because he couldn’t see the Cullen’s in the shadows.
“How’d you??” Jasper walked to the front door and set his hand on Charlie’s shoulder, whispering softly to him, my father’s eyes drooped, his body slumping over against Jasper’s shoulder. His snores were soft as Emmett swept Charlie into his arms.
“We need to get back to the house.” Edward picked me up and we ran. I could see the slightly blurred images of Alice and Jasper, their hands clasped as we swept across the highway faster than my old beat up truck.
Swerving onto the hard-to-find path of the driveway, Edward kept the branches from hitting me as I buried my face in his chest. My head spun with the scent of his skin. My heart pounded hard in my chest as we came to a stop and Edward set me uneasily on my feet.
I swayed, my mind a chaos of fragmented thoughts of what had just happened. From a distance, I heard Esme’s voice speaking too fast for me to hear. Edward held my waist as we stepped into the house.
As my mind cleared, I watched Emmett set Charlie on the couch, a blanket covering his snoozing body. I smiled and looked to Edward and the rest of the Cullen’s. They were discussing things quietly and I knew what they were talking about.
Edward, Emmett and Rosalie were on the defense as Esme, Carlisle, Jasper and Alice were on the offense. They were discussing changing me before the wedding. I knew that by the threat of the Volturi I wouldn’t get another chance at life with my family. I stepped between them, silence flowing through them all as I took a deep breath and voiced my rash decision.
I can’t believe I’m doing this. “How about we move the wedding up a couple weeks… say…. Two, three days? Then as soon as it’s over Edward can change me. I didn’t expect the Volturi to appear so soon, but I suppose after the fight with Victoria, we knew they were going to make a sudden appearance.” I chewed my lip nervously as I looked at my family, fourteen pairs of eyes staring at me in stunned silence.
They knew I was afraid of marriage. Edward almost seemed thrilled if I hadn’t said the words ‘then change me.’ He was the only one who whole-heartedly wanted me to stay human. An old dream I’d had came rushing back to me and I frowned deeply. I’d been standing in front of my grandmother and Edward walked up, putting his arm around me and her. It was then that I noticed it was a mirror I was looking into and that the woman I’d thought was my grandmother… was actually me.
Tears welled in my eyes and I cried out before I could stop myself, “you’re not going to hold out on me Edward Cullen. I will not get old!” I turned and ran up the stairs, flying through the halls until I came to Carlisle’s study. I threw myself into the room, the door slamming behind me and making the many paintings and pictures shudder on their walls.
I dropped into Carlisle’s desk chair, pulling my knees to my chest and humming a lullaby I’d known since I was little. I didn’t remember where I’d learned it, but I knew it had been one my grandmother had sung to me to put me to sleep when I was scared or sick. The tears rolled slowly along my cheeks, my hair sticking to my face as I rested my forehead against my knees.
I never heard the door open, but suddenly, someone kneeled in front of me, their hand resting on my arm. Looking up, I stared into the motherly face of Esme. She brushed my hair from my face, her fingers lightly and lingering against my ear after tucking a strand back.
“Bella… Edward isn’t going to deny you. When the Volturi arrived, he didn’t expect them so soon. Alice had only received the future minutes before they’d arrived at your house. She’s been so caught up in your wedding, she didn’t clear her mind enough until tonight when Jasper, very darkly, told her to stop or he’d hurt her.” laughing softly, Esme smiled at me.
My lips quivered into a soft smile, “It was a dream I remembered and I was old. I don’t want to grow old. I love Edward so much. He’s says it’s for my own good to experience things he didn’t in life but I can’t do anything without him beside me.”
“I know love. He’ll change you after the wedding.” Esme hugged me, and I melted into her arms. Her soft voice was beside my ear, singing to me gently, lulling me to sleep. I hadn’t realized how tired I was. I let sleep take me.
Jane stepped into the room, her eyes intense on mine as she stared at me. No emotion crossing her perfect little face, frozen in time by the curse of the vampire. She a knee-length white sundress, no shoes on her feet, her toes painted a deep crimson, the color of blood that flashed from deep almost black red to a bright crimson.
She turned away from me and I realized I was shackled to the wall. We were back in Italy. I looked around frantic. Edward, the entire family… even Charlie were all shackled across from me, I cried out to them my voice failed me.
I struggled against the thick chains and Jane’s voice reached my ears, a little giggle escaping as she spoke.
“You’re going to watch them all die Isabella. Their blood will be on your hands, you brought this upon them. If Edward had only listened, he wouldn’t be in this predicament… and neither would you.” she twirled, her dress flaring around her, “isn’t it lovely?” sighing, she turned her eyes on me, all traces of amusement wiped from her face. Her voice became dark, “one by one you’ll watch them die and then I’ll leave you here to rot, to stare at their decomposing body parts. The days will pass, running with each other while you mourn the deaths of your beloved Cullen’s. Now, it is time.”
I tried to scream, I thrashed against the chains, the metal digging and rubbing my wrists raw as I struggled. Finally I got my voice. It was a low dark whisper, “you touch them and I’ll butcher you, you little bitch.” the words poured from my mouth like poisonous snakes. Jane turned, surprise crossing her face at my anger, “I’ll kill you if you hurt any part of my family.” my voice was rising in volume and strength, making everyone stir… except Charlie. Dad. I thought, my brows coming together, why aren’t you waking up?
Jane giggled, “oh… so you noticed? I killed your father as an insurance policy. Just to make my point clear.” a scream ripped from my throat, doubling in anger and volume as I struggled against my binds, “you brat. You foul little heathen! I’ll slaughter you with a smile on my face you demented, sick little child.”
“What did you call me?” Jane screamed, rushing at me. Our glares were of the same intensity but I knew she’d end my life in a second if she could, “you ever call me sick again and I’ll torture you to the end of time.”
I leaned close, pressing my nose to hers, “try me psycho.”
Her face contorted in rage and she threw her mind at mine, it slammed me back against the wall, but like Edward, she couldn’t get in. A maniacal laughter broke from me, starting as a giggle and growing into gut aching laughter as she forced her mind upon mine. My glare was intense on hers, “you’ll never make it. I’m the one human… you. Can’t. touch.” with a grin that would challenge the Cheshire Cat, I screamed as loud and high as I could.
Jane slammed her hands over her ears and when I stopped, she turned away from me, “now you’ll watch them die. No more games.” walking first to Rosalie, she yanked a large handful of gorgeous blonde hair from her head, the next yank brought Rosalie’s head clean off.
I stared in horror as Jane ripped Rosalie limb from limb. Next came Carlisle, his face pale, lips colorless as he was ripped apart. Blood slowly trailed along the floor toward me as I watched in silent horror. No one cried out. Jasper, Esme, Emmett.
“No!” I screamed as she went for Alice’s left arm. I began to sob uncontrollably, tears pouring down my cheeks, “Jane… please. You’ve taken everything from me. I’ve done nothing to you except be human. Please… spare them and take me. Please… take me.” I let my head drop. I could see the wild rage taking over Alice. Jasper was dead. Her love, her one true mate. My heart constricted then shattered into millions of pieces. Edward would watch me die.
“Bella, no.” Jane was padding toward me, the wet slap of her feet leaving bloody footprints along the floor.
Looking up at Edward, I saw the anger and sadness battling violently in his eyes. “I love you Edward Cullen.” Jane stood before me then, her tiny hand gripping my hair. She looked like a horror movie gone wrong. Her dress was soaked with blood, her face contorted into an ugly rage, eyes burning red.
“Bella! Bella!” the urgency of the voice bothered me. Opening my eyes, I looked around. Edward was beside me, his eyes wide, eyebrows knit with concern.
“It was a dream.” I said it more to myself, the vision of Jane so crisp and real to me. I shook my head and looked at Edward, his topaz eyes bore into mine, a soft smile cracked my lips and I leaned over, placing my lips against his cold ones. My breath instantly left me, my heart pounding as he laid me back and threaded his fingers lightly in my hair. His mouth relaxed against mine and my arms slid slowly around his neck. He waited a little longer before detaching me and I tried to catch my breath. Oh I loved kissing him.
A light rap at the door, permitted Alice entrance into the room, “so, I’ve been rearranging some things and the wedding date is all set. Your mom and Phil are on their way up and Mike, Angela, Ben and Tyler are coming. Your dad is in a rage… he didn’t know you were getting married, but is going to give you away… even though he disapproves of Edward. Jacob has not returned any phone calls and neither have any of the other werewolves so I suspect that they will not be making an entrance.” She bounced on the balls of her feet, grinning at me, her enthusiasm for the wedding rubbing off on Edward like a pen that wouldn’t erase from skin.
A scowl turned down the corners of my lips, “yeah… but I guess we’ll pray I don’t trip on my way down the aisle and break my nose.” crossing my arms I gave both Alice and Edward a frown. Edward held back a laugh as he wrapped his arms around me, Alice snickering behind her. Looking up, I glared at Alice, my voice thick with sarcasm, “laugh it up, chuckles.”
Alice’s peel of laughter grew louder drawing the attention of Emmett, Jasper and Carlisle. Standing in the doorway they stared at Alice and Edward, both of whom were laughing so hard their faces were actually turning red. I sat, scowling, which made Emmett snort, Carlisle shake his head and walk away with a smile and Jasper step in the room to keep a squealing Alice from falling over as she held her stomach.
I noticed then that we were on the bed Edward had bought. I gulped at the thoughts that flew through my mind. Sometimes I was glad he couldn’t read my thoughts. I blushed anyways and crawled off the bed, tripping and landing on the floor. With a groan, I stood. Alice and Edward had sobered quickly as I walked out of the room and downstairs. The scent of bacon, eggs, hash browns and sausage made my mouth water.
Charlie was standing in the kitchen, talking with Esme as she cooked breakfast for an entire country. Looking up at my entrance, Charlie’s brow went dark and I stepped back involuntarily, my body hitting stone. Tilting my head, Edward stood behind me, his face a smooth mask of calm collected happiness.
“May I have a word with you?” Charlie gripped my arm, yanking me to the other side of the room, where everyone could still hear us. “Isabella Swan, why didn’t you tell me you were engaged to that boy? I strongly disapprove. And, you’re getting married TOMORROW??? Are you insane? Why not wait a few months… or years… perhaps even never?”
Yanking my arm free of Charlie’s grasp I glared at him, my anger flaring, “I love Edward. You will not stop me from marrying the man I love. Just because your and mom’s relationship went sour, does not mean mine is going to. Now get over your dislike for Edward. You’re walking me down the aisle whether you want to or not.” I crossed my arms, his mouth open in surprise.
“Isabell-” I walked away from him, not listening to a word he was saying. My temper fizzled out as Edward kissed my forehead and hugged me to his body. A heavy sigh broke from me as I sat on a stool at the island in the kitchen, taking a big bite of bacon and chewing slowly so I wouldn’t have to talk.
Edward joined me, leaning his head close to mine as he whispered to me, “you’ve stunned your father by walking away from him. He thinks you’re going to turn out like your mother. That you’re going to leave me and never return because you hate where we live.”
I turned my head slowly, I could see Charlie in my peripheral vision, staring at me blankly. Leaning in, I kissed Edward hard, links my arms around his neck and putting as much passion into the kiss as I could muster. I felt Edward stiffen and I pulled away slowly, resting my forehead against his, I stared into his golden eyes, “I love you. I will never leave. Not forever. Not for eternity. You’re stuck with me.”
I slid my fingers along his cheek, rubbing my thumb over his cheek, a soft smile pulling his cold lips up. I would never turn out like my mother.
Alice bounced into the room, “Bella hurry! We have to go get your mom!” the impatience in her voice made me sigh in exasperation. She always knew how to ruin a mood.
Turning to her, I stuffed a piece of bacon into my mouth and talked around it, “okay. I’m ready. Let’s go.” I could hear Edward, Emmett and Jasper snickering at my sudden un-lady-like speech. Hopping off the stool, I grabbed the rest of the bacon on my plate, “thanks Esme!” I could hear Alice’s Porsche purr into life and the spitting of gravel as she peeled out of the garage, flipping the bright yellow sports car toward the road.
Hopping into the front seat, I buckled my seatbelt as Alice slowly drove down the driveway, knowing Charlie was watching. “So, I’ve got your gown and shoes arriving tonight. I hope you like it.” she watched me and tore onto the highway, tires squealing as the slid across the asphalt. Giggling nervously, I tossed my bacon out the window…. I couldn’t eat with one of the Cullen’s driving.
Alice took a tight curve going one hundred and thirty five miles an hour. I closed my eyes and concentrated on my breathing as we turned left and right and left again with the bends of the road. The plane arrived in Seattle at noon. It was now 10:15. Or so the digital clock in the dash told me. Alice didn’t slow as we merged onto the freeway, her car pushing closer and closer to two hundred.
Cars blared their horns as we served back and forth around cars, using the shoulder of the freeway as a section of road, my body bouncing in the seat. I hated this. My stomach was in my throat and I was close to vomiting my breakfast on the dash of Alice’s car. She hit the button for my window and it slid down silently, a cool breeze blasting me in the face as I took slow deep breaths.
I-5 was getting congested as we neared Seattle and I groaned. Traffic in Seattle was hell. But well before the city, Alice crossed three lanes of traffic and took a back road into Seattle, leading us straight to the airport. We’d made record timing getting here. It’d taken only eight minutes to get from Forks to Port Angeles on 101, then another nineteen to get from Port Angeles to Interstate 5. So, in total it took only thirty-four minutes to get to Seattle. We got caught in traffic though, adding another twelve minutes. When we got to the airport, Rene and Phil were already waiting at the doors. Alice popped the trunk and we stuffed the one suitcase of luggage into the small space.
Alice went slower on the way back, making the trip back seem like it was taking forever. She was impatient, her foot itching to push the little Porsche to it’s max. She wouldn’t with my mother and step-father in the car. I rested my head and fell asleep the rest of the way, Alice’s voice soothing as Rene groaned about coming back to Forks. She’d hated it here and now she was back for her daughter’s wedding and to see her ex-husband in the process.
Edward was carrying me into the house as I woke up, his eyes watching me as I gave a soft smile and kisses his hard chest through his shirt. I wasn’t sure what time it was, but I knew it was nearing dusk and the fading light behind the clouds seemed ominous, threatening.
Of course, four humans in a house of vampires… yeah, that could be a little threatening. I giggled at the thoughts of my family mingling with the vampires. Chatting, drinking water, soda or tea and toasting to the vampire Edward and his bride. Edward was watching me, wishing he could read my thoughts I knew.
Walking me up to his room, Edward closed the door, flipping the lock so we wouldn’t be bothered. Laying me on the bed, Edward stretched out beside me, raising himself up on his elbow to look down on me, his fingers tracing my jaw line, the column of my throat, my collarbone. I shivered at his cool touch, my body heating beneath the gentle brushes of his fingers.
I laced my fingers through his, my other hand coming up, my eyes catching the crescent moon scar on my flesh, the one part of me, that was a few degrees cooler than the rest of my body. Edward did something he’d never done before then, he slowly began to kiss up the inside of my arm, his lips pressing against the inside of my elbow. I gasped, his tongue was slowly stroking the bend in my arm. The sensation was weird but pleasurable. His venomous saliva didn’t burn. It was cool, the sweet scent of his breath catching in my nose and making me light-headed.
My eyes fluttered closed as his tongue slid back and forth over that part of my elbow. I chewed on the inside of my cheek to keep myself but a few low moans escaped. This seemed to encourage Edward and he pressed a little harder, the sensation erupting into pure pleasure as he pressed his tongue into the tender part of my flesh, moving over vein, muscle, tendon and bone.
The moans came of their own will now and Edward pulled away before he got carried away. His eyes blazed a molten gold, his jaw set to keep himself from doing anything rash. I stared at him, not sure what he’d just done. He wiped the saliva from the crease in my arm and kissed there lightly. A thrill rippled through me.
My god… he’d just done something remotely sexual. Besides kissing.
“Edward!” I gasped out in shock. His eyes hardened and concern took over.
“Are you okay? I didn’t hurt you did I? Damn it, I knew I shouldn’t have done that.” I pulled Edward down and kissed him hard, molding my lips to his. I hated when he cursed himself. What was the matter with a little flame before the wedding?
Trying to detach me, I moved with him as he leaned away from me, my lips detaching from his as we moved, “I loved what you did.” there was a fire in me. Not that of pain. But of passion. Fierce, unaltered passion for the man I loved. My vampire.
He was laid flat on his back, my body over his as our eyes locked, thousands of pleasing emotions shooting through our eyes, electricity sizzling between us. “Let me return the favor.” my voice was soft as I ran my fingertips over the inside of his elbow, his eyelids fluttering at the light touch.
“Bella… I don-, oh my…” my tongue slid slowly over the skin at the joint of his elbow. His skin was still soft there. I latched my mouth along the bend, my tongue sliding up to my top teeth, the lightest of brushes of my tongue on his skin. Pulling my tongue back, pressing in against the tendons, veins, muscle and bone. His skin tasted wonderful. Like kettle corn. Salty sweet and intoxicating.
I got lost in the sweep of my tongue on his skin, chills sliding through Edward’s body as he gasped in the feeling of my tongue. I didn’t know what he was thinking but a soft shudder was beginning to move through his body.
Glancing over, I saw his eyes staring wide at my mouth, the tender, awkward brush of my tongue. I didn’t know if he was aroused or if he was pissed. His face was blank, his eyes full of emotions too intense for me to comprehend.
Pulling away, I wiped away my saliva, kissing the dry kiss afterward. A low growl made me stop as I went in to kiss again. The growl was coming from Edward. It was like nothing I’d heard. Territorial, protective, seductive.
I locked with his liquid topaz eyes, unable to tear my eyes away as a startled cry escaped me. Edward had lunged and now had me pinned to the bed, his hands locking my arms above my head. Shock settled in to my muscles, keeping me tense until his mouth came down on mine. His kissing was fierce, his mouth opening up to me, forcing my own open with his. His tongue never entered my mouth though as his lips seared their way down my chin, over my neck and collarbone.
Moving down a little ways, I felt Edward’s teeth graze my stomach, my shirt in his mouth. He deposited the fabric just below my chest, his cold lips burning kisses all over my ribs and stomach. His teeth nipped close to the waistband of my pants, never grazing hard enough for his venom to shoot fire through my body.
“Edward!” my cry was pure pleasure, I was in ecstasy as his tongue flicked around my navel, his tongue tracing every rib visible. His nose nudged my shirt up over my chest, his kisses descending between my breasts. He sucked small hickeys all over the gentle mounds before he pushed my shirt down and kissed his way along my throat, sucking as I moaned his name over and over until when his lips reached mine, I struggled to get my hands free.
He came back to himself then, slowly pulling away from my lips. I was flushed, I knew I was. He could see the traces of his lust driven wildness. I stared into his eyes, gasping out softly, “don’t you dare regret doing this. Don’t you dare. I’ll be your wife tomorrow Edward.” the heated passion flared in my eyes and I wrapped a leg around his waist, tightening until he rested all his body weight on top of me.
I nipped at his ear gently, shivers rushing through his body as I snuggled my mouth against his ear, “I love you Edward Cullen. And tomorrow, you will have me freely.” his hands tightened at my waist and we slid from each other as there was a light tap at the door.
Making sure we were descent, he unlocked the door, opening it to a horrified Jasper, his eyes huge. “Christ. Would you two keep your emotions in check? I nearly tackled Alice to the floor as she modeled a new dress for me. I nearly ravished her to exhaustion. Please.”
Closing the door, Edward and I looking at each other, I was petrified at what had just occurred, my face burning with embarrassment as Edward kissed my forehead, our eyes meeting. We both dissolved into laughter, holding our stomachs in pain at the encounter with Jasper. _________________ Come join us where the fantasies become... reality
Composing ourselves, Edward and I headed downstairs to dinner. I was still giggling as I grinned at Alice. She was flustered but a dreamy little smile perked the edges of her lips as she got lost in a vision. Giggles broke from her and I nudged her in the ribs, her face sobering at the sight of everyone staring.
Charlie stared at me, his eyes dark. Edward was scowling back at Charlie. Leaning to me, Edward spoke in a whisper, “he’s thinking we’ve been sleeping together.” I gave a snort of laughter and smiled at Charlie, I walked over and hugged him, the surprise on his face melting into a pleasant happiness.
“Don’t worry dad. I’ll always be your little girl.” I smiled and pecked his cheek, even though I’ll be a vampire and you’ll die while I stay forever eighteen. I sighed and flopped onto a stool, cutting my steak open to find it well done. Just how I liked it! Hardly bloody.
Edward, Alice, Jasper, Emmett, Esme, Rosalie and Carlisle had rare steaks, blood filling their. Mopping up the blood with their meat, they ate pleasantly, never dripping, so graceful. I smiled softly. This is my family. And I love them all. Even Rosalie. My eyes lingered on her. Looking up, she stopped, her fork poised in mid-air. I gave her a soft friendly smile and she returned it, slipping the meat into her mouth.
We ate in silence, everyone enjoying the meal in front of them. Rene and Phil strolled into the kitchen. Rene eyed the extra bloody steaks, her nose wrinkling. “yikes… I’m glad I’m a vegetarian!” Phil grabbed a steak and split into it like it was his last meal. I couldn’t help but giggle.
Edward’s hand massaged my knee beneath the table when he wasn’t cutting his meat or taking a bite. He began getting bolder, his hand slowly sliding up my thigh. I held my hand steady as it began to shake slightly. Rene sat on my other side and munched into a huge bowl of salad smothered in Cesar dressing.
“Bella? Why was the wedding moved to tomorrow?” Charlie’s eyes were on me. I swallowed a half chewed piece of meat, feeling it swell in my throat before slowly sliding down my esophagus.
“Well, I was just too excited. I wanted to be a Cullen.” I smiled at my family and they beamed back at me, their teeth slick with venomous saliva and cow blood. I giggled and looked back to Charlie, “besides… I’m eighteen and Edward asked me a while back but I refused. We came to an agreement though and so, we’re to be wed tomorrow and I’m thrilled.” the fake enthusiasm broke right through Charlie’s sensors. The Cullen families went off red alert and Alice gave me a scowl. I shrank away from her, squealing as I fell off the stool, my hand coming down on my plate, my steak flying across the room as I landed with a hard thud on the floor.
Edward knelt and helped me up. I mounted my stool again and munched on my green beans and salad.
Rene offered me some of her salad but I refused. Walking over, I retrieved my escapee slab of meat, which had mounted itself on a window. Grumbling, I slammed it down into the sink, cursing it with my eyes. Grabbing a knife, I brought it down hard into the meat, the distinct sound of metal hitting titanium ringing in my ears.
Esme walked over and took the knife from me. Hugging me she smiled, “go to bed Bella dear. You look exhausted.” sighing, I obliged, leaving everyone except Edward who followed me.
“Wait! Where is Bella sleeping?” Charlie rose from his seat, striding over to us. Grabbing my wrist, I tried to pull away but his grip was a shackle on my wrist.
“She’ll sleep in Edward’s room. He is honorable Mr. Swan, I can promise you that.” Carlisle rose, handing Esme his plate. “They are to be married tomorrow after all.” smiling at me and Edward, Edward slowly undid Charlie’s grip and began walking me up the stairs as Charlie’s temper flared. His words directed straight at me.
“After what he did, you still want to marry him? God Bella, I thought you were smarter than this. You had someone so perfect the whole time and you blew him off.” turning, I stared slack jawed at my father, he was referring to Jacob. Edward went stiff at my side.
“No Charlie, I have no one better than Edward. Jacob is my friend. Always has been. Edward. I LOVE HIM and I am going to marry him tomorrow, whether you like it or not!” I crossed my arms, standing my ground steadily as the rest of the family gathered.
“I won’t be walking you down the aisle then Isabella.” He was stung by me calling him Charlie.
“That’s fine. Carlisle? Will you walk me down the aisle?” I was asking him in front of Charlie because I knew my father would object. I was his child, not Carlisle’s.
“No, I won’t let some other man walk my daughter down the aisle. Go to bed Bella. I’ll see you tomorrow. It’s your wedding day.” I could see the sudden realization. Age. He knew he wasn’t going to be the commanding figure in my life anymore. Turning, I walked upstairs, Edward at my side.
Crawling into the huge bed, Edward tucked in with me. He’d striped to a white tank top and boxers and pulled me tightly to his body, his lips pressing to mine, pressing me back against the bed, Edward rested half of his body on top of me, his cold fingers running over my hip and thigh. I was in a long shirt and panties, giving his unhesitant hands access to my legs.
“Edward? After you change me… will you…” I could feel my cheeks turn crimson. “make love to me?” I looked up into his liquid topaz eyes, his love for me as bright as the sun. Smiling softly, he nodded. I kissed him hard then, clinging to him. He let me this time, his mouth and body melting against me. His hands roamed freely and I let them until we both pulled away breathless.
“It’s time to sleep.” I nodded at him and rolled, curling my back against his stone cold chest, “good night little lamb.”
“Good night beloved lion.” I closed my eyes, my fingers twined through Edward’s. Sleep. It took me fast and I had no nightmares this night as I had with the Volturi.
“Bella?” the voice was far off but I recognized it instantly as Rosalie’s. I rolled and tried to slip back into sleep. “Oh Bella.” there were two voices now. Alice was there. I groaned as their voices grew nearer. “BELLA!!” their yells were right in my ears. I screamed into comprehension and glared at my sisters.
“What?!” I felt the scowl on my face. My brow was knit together in anger, my forehead scrunching like Charlie’s did when he was angry.
“Come on. Time to get you ready! Your wedding is in four hours! Edward is a nervous, excited wreck and your hair looks like rats nested in it all night. Up! In the shower. Now! Let’s go!” Alice dragged me off the bed and into the bathroom. Expensive shampoos and conditioner with names I didn’t dare try to pronounce were lined along the far tiled wall.
Curlers, straighteners, moose, gel and hairspray were set on the counter. Rosalie and Alice stripped me naked, tossing me into the shower. The water was perfect and before I knew it I was being washed, scrubbed, shaved and contioned by Alice and Rosalie. I felt REALLY awkward.
My eyebrows were waxed, along with my bikini line. I screamed and cried, Esme rushing in to help. They blow dried my hair, straightening it then pulling strands and twisting them into weird positions. So many bobbi-pins went into my hair I’d be pulling them out for weeks.
The Cullen women chatted away, their excitement beginning to rub off on me.
When they finally let me see, my hair was pulled up into a criss-crossed braid looking thing. Strands of hair were curled and the ends of the up-do were spiraled. I felt like a princess Barbie.
My eyes were shadowed with a lilac color with black mascara that glittered. There was no foundation or cover-up, I didn’t need it with such beautifully flawless skin. Rosalie was the one saying that.
The dress was in Edward’s closet and everyone hurried me, wrapped in a towel, there. Small red roses were embroidered down the train. It was white with a French tuck at the back and a long train. It was strapless with a crimson strip across the top, white roses embroidered into the satin. It was gorgeous, even though I really didn’t want to be getting married. It was what I’d have to handle.
I had two hours. Looking at my soon to be mother-in-law and sisters, I smirked, “can I eat? I’m starving.” As if a ball dropped on their heads telling them I was still human, they rushed to get me food and my mom came to talk.
The light knock made me cover up with a blanket but I relaxed as my mom stepped into the room. Eyeing my hair, she smiled, tears pinpricking the corners of her eyes. She sat beside me on the bed, wiping her eyes. She was casual for the moment. Shorts and a tank top. It looked so out of place here in Forks. Her tan was darker than it had ever been and I remembered the Florida sun and the humidity that would grant such a flawless gorgeous tan.
“Wow, you look beautiful Bella.” Renee’s finger slid across my cheek, “I’ve waited for this day and now that it’s here… I feel so old.” laughing softly, a few tears spilled down her cheeks. I gave a little concerned look and she took a deep breath, “you’ve grown into a beautiful young woman and no mother could be prouder of her child.”
“Oh mom… Don’t cry. You aren’t old. You’re still only twenty-five aren’t you?” she smirked at the joke and hugged me, kissing my forehead.
“Oh honey… I’m just so happy. You’re so mature. You’ve always taken care of me, when I should’ve been the one taking care of you my sweetest little love. You knew where I’d put things and were an adult when you were twelve. I hope Edward doesn’t mind you’re too old for your age.” I laughed, knowing I was much a child in Edward’s eyes as I was so much younger than he was. I was the juvenile to him, the one who had so much to learn and accomplish. Maybe that’s why he wanted me to stay human. There was no chance I was ever going to stay human though. Our compromise would be forever kept and I wouldn’t allow him to change the way things were.
“Mom?” her eyes studied me. “When you and Cha-dad got married, were you ecstatic to be with him? I mean… did you think that at the time he was the only one for you? That without him your life would have no meaning and there was no reason to go on living?” at her startled look, I smiled and giggled nervously.
“Well… I haven’t thought about it in a while.. But yes. I thought your dad was the world. He was wonderful. I’m not sure if I thought that life without him had no meaning, or that I couldn’t live without him, but Charlie was the best. He always made me laugh and he lit up a room when he walked in. At the time… he was all I wanted. And now, Phil is who I want and honestly, I don’t think I could live without him.”
I smirked and thought of the bed were on. I sighed and laughed as Esme carried in a platter full of food, “care to join me for breakfast?” Laughing, we dug in to the tray of fruits. Cantaloupe, kiwi, apple, orange, tangerine, cherry, peach, pear. Nearly every fruit in the world sat on this tray.
We ate in silence, laughing when juice shot out of an orange slice or peach juice trickled down our chin. It was nice to laugh with my mom again. I’d missed her and now that she was here, everything, even the wedding, was wiped from my mind.
Finishing breakfast, I sighed and patted my belly.
“Well, I need to go start getting ready. My baby is getting married in a little over an hour.” kissing my forehead, Renee stood and left the room. Alice, Rosalie and Esme bounced gracefully into the room. Taking the towel from me, they handed me a clean pair of panties and a… strapless… bra. My heart began to pound. Oh god. It’s almost time. I concentrated on not hyperventilating as they slid a skirt onto my hips, followed by the petticoats of the dress.
Alice flourished the dress, standing on the bed, Esme and Rosalie helped slip the dress down over my up stretched arms. As soon as the dress was zipped up there was no going back. Heart beating hard, I felt the dress settle on my body. The distinguishing ziiiiiip finalizing that I was no longer going to be able to escape this. Even if I ran… Alice would know where I went and Edward would be at my side the whole time. Better just to do this and enjoy it.
At least it’s Edward. His face came to view in my mind, my thoughts straying until another face, a deeply tanned face came into view. Jacob. He was still gone. I knew he wouldn’t make it. A frown turned down my mouth. I missed him. My best friend. My wolf.
“Bella?” a voice, Carlisle’s, was outside the door, “someone wants to see you. May we come in?”
“If it’s Edward, NO!” all four of us shouted. Looking at each other we laughed. The door opened and standing, framed in the doorway was Jacob.
“JACOB!” I flew into his arms, hugging his hot body as hard as I could. Everyone slipped out, closing the door as I pulled back and looked up at him. He was tense, his nose wrinkled in disgust. “what are you doing here?!”
“You’re getting married today. Wasn’t I invited?” his voice was dark with anger, like he’d been dragged here against his will. “Seth and Sam are here as well. Everyone else wanted to kill you for doing this. God you stink of them.”
“I’m going to be one of them Jacob. You know this.” turning from him, I realized he wasn’t here to congratulate me, “don’t talk me out of this, it’s too late. The Volturi know I’m not vampire and if I don’t become one as soon as possible they’ll kill me.”
“Good.” turning in shock, Jacob’s eyes went wide in surprise, “wow… Bella… you look… Amazing.”
Brushing at my dress, I couldn’t brush off his comment, “you’d rather lose me then see me turned still?”
“Yes. So, after today, I will no longer be your friend. After I leave this room, you are forever my enemy. I’ll stay for the ceremony, but afterward, I’m gone. I came to say goodbye.” turning, his hand on the doorknob, Jacob spoke the last words I’d ever hear from him, “Good bye… Mrs. Cullen. I pray we never meet again after this day. I’ll kill you if I see you.” he swept from the room, his words slicing my heart into tiny pieces.
I felt tears well in my eyes as I stared at the door. He’d kill me… Jacob… How could you hurt me like this? Alice came in, she was dressed in a lilac gown that was tight down her tiny body, flaring at her thighs. She made a beautiful bridesmaid. So did Rosalie who came into the room, her hands on her hips as she smiled at me.
“Come on. It’s getting close to the time. Edward is so anxious. Your father, I’ve never seen Edward get yelled at so much.” Alice giggled and I followed them downstairs, a pair of thick heeled old-fashioned white boots hugging my ankles. I held my dress up. The living room had been transformed into a wedding aisle complete with alter. Carlisle stood in a black tuxedo on the other side of the alter.
There were gasps from my dad, Phil, Emmett and Jasper. Edward was no where in sight and I was glad. He wasn’t supposed to see the bride yet. It was bad luck. A gasp from behind brought my mother’s voice with it. “Wow Bella. You look amazing.” Everyone nodded in agreement and I stepped into a small room off from the living room to wait for the time to walk down the aisle.
I could hear Edward outside the door. Oh my beautiful very soon to be husband. Soon I will be yours forever. I smiled and heard Edward take a deep breath, his voice fading as he walked up the rows of chairs. I could our wedding guests arriving and as they settled, Alice rushed me from the room and halfway up the stairs. I couldn’t help but giggle as Alice lined Rosalie and Emmett up, followed by herself and Jasper and then Esme and Carlisle.
Smiling back at me, Carlisle leaned to whisper, “soon you will part of the family.” kissing my cheek, Charlie came down the stairs to stand beside me and take my arm, his gasp making me look at him. His eyes were tearing up and I hugged him hard.
“Oh dad, it’s okay.” I kissed his cheek as he sobered and took a deep breath to calm himself.
“You look so gorgeous Bells. I’m so happy for you. I just hope he’s the perfect match for you.” Emmett and Rosalie headed down the stairs and seven steps behind them came Alice and Jasper. Another seven steps and Carlisle and Esme walked up the aisle. The wedding melody began for the bride. Me.
“He’s perfect dad.” Looking up as we got to the bottom of the stairs, I took a deep breath. I stopped myself from craning my neck to see Edward. He came into view, his gasp audible, followed with the gasps of everyone else in the room. I smiled nervously and walked with my father to the alter. Carlisle was grinning like the Cheshire Cat making me giggle as Charlie kissed my cheek and handed me off to Edward.
His cold hand was a wonderful welcome as we turned and faced Carlisle. “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this m-man, and this woman in holy matrimony.” with a sigh, Carlisle slammed the bible shut and tossed it over his shoulder. There were gasps from the guests. Edward and I snickered. “We join together, these two people, their love as radiant as the sun. They bring forth the happiness in each other and in others with smiles that challenge the happiest fool. I’ve witnessed this love and I encourage it fully. Those who choose to object… Speak now. Or please, keep your mouths shut in peace.”
“I object!” Jacob leapt to his feet and snickered at me. “This is ridiculous. Carlisle you’re ad-libbing the whole thing and Bella. You look too beautiful to be a bride. This is a friggin fairy tail wedding. It couldn’t go on without there being an objection. But I forever, hold. My. Peace.” his glare was directed straight at me and his eyes burned with hatred. This was not my Jacob. Not anymore. He was unkind and cruel. Vicious and threatening. He was… a murderer.
He sat in his chair and I turned back to Carlisle, tears gathering in my eyes as I stared up at him and begged him silently to go on. The Cullen’s knew Jacob was breaking my heart. That I’d never understand why he was so vicious and cruel. He’d made his choice, I knew. But I didn’t believe he’d ever understand how much I loved Edward. Carlisle continued.
“Edward Cullen, do you take Isabella Swan to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?”
“I do.” Edward turned to face me, and I him. The tears were getting heavier, ready to fall, but it wasn’t because of the marriage. Not at all.
“Isabella Swan, do you take Edward Cullen to be you lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, through sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?”
I looked out over the crowd, my eyes meeting Jacob’s. I could tell he was upset by his outburst and I spoke to Edward, making sure Jacob saw, Jacob felt me ripping his heart out one tiny heart stopping yank at a time. “I… do.”
Jacob’s face fell, his eyes darkening with hate as I stared at him with venomous rage. You break my heart… I’ll break yours Jacob Black. And with a voice as soft as a whisper that I knew Jacob could hear, I said the words that severed our friendship forever, “Good bye Jacob Black, you are no longer my best friend. May we never meet again. For if we do, I’ll rip your heart out and feed off it in front of you.” Everyone had heard except the other guests who were human.
“Edward, Bella, the rings.” We silently slid the rings on each other’s fingers and turned to Carlisle, “by the power invested in me and by the state of Washington. I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss your bride.”
Edward grinned and gripped me around the waist.
Dipping me low, he kissed me hard, his lips melding to mine as I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed back with a vicious passion. One he’d seen only yesterday. Cheers came from everyone except Sam and Jacob. I sighed happily as we walked down the aisle. I slowed and tossed something at Jacob. It landed with a soft pat in his lap. I watched him look down, his face darkening and then falling as he noticed the small wolf charm he’d given me. He looked up at me, tears in his eyes. My wolf… was no more.
The reception followed, the living room turned from wedding chapel to dance hall. Alice set up Edward’s stereo in the living room, the music bumping from the speakers a mix of new and old music that everyone enjoyed. Including classical. Bach blared from the speakers at the moment. Edward and I danced, he in his tux, I in my dress. We were laughing at Alice and Jasper who were sweeping around the room looking serious as they stared into each other’s eyes.
Emmett and Rosalie were doing the tango and I gave a snort of laughter watching the Bear dance around the room with the Beauty. Giggling, I whispered to Edward, “it’s Beauty and the Beast.” laughing, Emmett turned to us and snarled teasingly before growling and covering a squealing Rosalie’s throat in kisses. I held my stomach and the music changed to a fast beat, a dance party started and Alice, Rosalie, Esme and I were dancing together, spinning in circles and swaying to the beat.
Angela and the other guests were talking and rocking slowly to the beat as they watch all the Cullen’s… including me.. Dance around. The reception was full of food, no alcohol, but lots of soda. I chugged down a liter of Pepsi in the hours of the reception. My dad grabbed Alice, whispering softly in her ear. At her nod, she ran over to the stereo and put on a slow song that I recognized. I hadn’t heard it in years and taking his hand, we began to dance. It was our only and final father/daughter dance.
“You’re married now Bells. Just be careful honey. You know how stressful marriage can get sometimes. You’ve listened to me and your mother for eighteen years.” he hugged me close to him and I kissed his cheek.
“I love you dad.”
The song was almost over when Edward came over, “may I cut in?” Charlie stepped back, wiping tears from his cheek as he held out my hand in offering, Edward and I dancing away from him. Kissing me deeply, Edward dipped me and nipped my collarbone, his tongue tracing my jugular. I shivered pleasantly and kissed him hard, enjoying the feel of his stone cold lips.
Everyone clapped as we kissed making Edward and I pull away laughing. “You know, I think it’s time we head to our honeymoon destination.” grinning, Edward and I smiled at everyone and headed to the bedroom. Changing, we stared at each other, staring at the bare skin and touching each other lightly here and there as Edward pulled on a pair of faded black jeans and I pulled on a knee-length skirt with a soft floral pattern on it.
I helped Edward into his shirt, a tight navy blue turtle-neck, his fingers sliding over my skin as he pushed a black tank top over my head. Our silent passion showed in both of us. When we reached our destination, he wouldn’t tell me where we were going, I knew we’d have free reign to do what we wanted. And I expected Edward to take my virginity, like should happen to every bride on her wedding night.
Everyone was waiting, Alice carrying a suitcase, Jasper holding the other as we walked through the guests. Hugging everyone we got into Edward’s Volvo, the suitcases in the trunk. My heart began to pound as we headed down the drive, everyone waving as we left. When I saw them all again, I would no longer be a human.
“So, Mrs. Cullen. Are you ready for our honeymoon?” his eyes strayed to me, his eyes traveling slowly over my body as I sat patiently with my hands in my lap. I gotten used to Edward’s driving, the swerving between cars as we drove down through Seattle, headed somewhere.
“I am Mr. Cullen.” I stuck my tongue out at him, “you better not flake out on biting me.” I pouted.
“I won’t Bella. I promise. When we return, you’ll no longer be human my love.” he kissed my cheek and I almost had a heart attack as he swerved, WITHOUT LOOKING, through traffic on the freeway at over 120 miles an hour.
“EDWARD!!!! Keep your eyes on the road!” I ducked, shielding my eyes, not wanting to watch as we neared the back of a semi, Edward easily sliding into the middle lane then over again to pass a minivan full of feisty children. _________________ Come join us where the fantasies become... reality

With a laugh, Edward sped up, pushing his Volvo faster than he’d pushed it with me. It was pushy 140 when I finally glared at him, “Edward Cullen, you slow this car down now or so help me I will bite you!” I snapped my teeth at him. He chuckled and slowed to a modest 138 miles an hour. I sighed and closed my eyes, resting my head against the headrest of the seat. Today was not my day. And yet… I’d had fun. The ceremony had been beautiful and I leaned over, pressing my lips lightly to the skin beneath his ear.
Nuzzling his earlobe with my nose, I nipped at it, his gasps making me giggle. “I love you.” his eyes met mine with a tenderness I’d never seen in him. It was a mix of tenderness, sadness and an ecstatic happiness that made his eyes glow their beautiful liquid gold.
“I love you too my dearest.” his nose nuzzled against mine and I ignored the road completely. I felt the car gain speed again, slowly as we stared at each other, the Volvo being pushed faster and faster with each gentle glide of my fingertips.
Edward took an off-ramp too fast and the tires squealed as we coasted around the corner. I giggled and spoke seductively, “rile you up just a little bit?”
“You always do. I just let come freely now that you’re my wife.” I felt so daring, so alive. But I knew soon I’d be invincible. Or nearly invincible. Leaning away from Edward, I looked to where we were going. The salty air made me smile. The Ocean. I took deep gulping breaths of air. A sign in the headlights showed that we were headed toward Depoe Bay. I’d never been there before. I’d heard it was beautiful, but I wasn’t sure if I believed it. I knew beaches were beautiful, I just never knew if they really were as beautiful as they said. The west coast was always cold. Especially Oregon and Washington. Looking at Edward, I tilted my head.
“Are we in Washington still?” at the shake of Edward’s head I spotted a license plate with the distinct Oregon across the reflective surface, “Oregon huh? What made you come here?” Turning slightly in my seat I leaned against the door, the air from the open window blasting across my face, cold rain stinging against my cheeks.
“There’s a really awesome hotel here I thought we’d stay at. They say it’s one of the best.” smiling at me, I nodded and kept silent as we neared the town. Edward finally slowing to a decent speed limit… 80. Rolling my eyes, I looked out at the break in the trees, the murky water shot with red as the sun set on the horizon. It was a beautiful sunset, the sky flaring from deep blue to purple, then to hot pink and red. A rainbow on the sky and fire on the water.
Hunting through the glove compartment I pulled out a beautiful camera and focused the lenses, taking a few quick shots before the beauty was gone. I’d document our honeymoon. Make a beautiful album of my last day as a human. I didn’t know how long we were staying or how long it was going to take me to change. I was almost scared. So many what if’s. What if Edward didn’t pull away? What if I didn’t make it through the change? Would Edward be okay without me? What if I was so wild I killed him and ran? What if Jacob followed us and killed Edward and I while I was in the middle of the change?
I closed my eyes and banished all thoughts of everything except the night ahead with Edward. If we…. Made love… would Edward’s semen change me? Was he sterile or was there a chance that I could get pregnant? So many possibilities. I had to ask one thing.
“Edward? If we… h-have s-s-sex… will your um…. Semen turn me?” I closed my eyes tight, blushing bright red as I groaned in embarrassment to the possibilities of his answer.
“I’m not sure. I’ve never been with anyone… You’ll be my first Bella.” I nodded slowly. I was his first and he mine.
We were silent as we pulled into the parking lot of the hotel. The outside was grungy and ugly, tannish sun bleached slats were in vertical sequential order. It was making me sick. Edward noticed my disgust and laugh, “don’t worry, the inside it a lot better.” God I hoped so.
Grabbing our bags, Edward and I stepped inside. Wow, he was right. Walking to the desk, the brisk looking woman looked up. Her eyes were a deep garden green and I smiled lightly as Edward cleared his throat.
“Reservation for Cullen.” looking into the computer the woman tapped in the name. Her eyes lighting with recognition.
“Ah yes Mr. Cullen. You and Mrs. Cullen have the Suite Salt Air room. That‘s here on the first floor next to our Breakfast room. We here at the Channel House Inn hope you enjoy your stay and that your room is to your comfort. If not, please let us know and we will surely supply you with a better room.” handing over the key to our room, we walked down the hall. The door opened to a small living room, the sofa was a deep beige almost a light brown but not quite. I admired the room with growing surprise. This room was amazing. There was a bar with champagne and wine as well as a chilled bowl of fruit with crackers, cheese and meat covered in a crystal see through dome. This was so beautiful.
“Oh my god… Edward, is there a hot tub out there?” sure enough, on closer inspection there was a hot tub set on the balcony for two. Turning to Edward, I grinned just before my eyes found the bed. There was a huge king sized bed with a white comforter covering it. The beauty was the two French doors that would close out the world as we slept. There was even a full kitchen and a door leading somewhere. Opening it, I saw that it led straight into the breakfast room. What a beautiful hotel this was. I was in shock at the beauty from the unappealing look of the outside.
“I have to get in that hot tub!” running to my suitcase, I threw it open and found bags of lingerie that me turn beet red. ALICE! I cursed her with my mind as my face fell. A small bag with Aeropostal scrawled across it revealed a small bikini. It was a light blue with darker blue flowers in it. It tied on the sides, the top the same, a halter top with three small brown beads in the center.
It’d have to do. A small note in Alice’s writing caught my eye.
Bella,
Don’t hate me for the bathing suit or lingerie.
We never got to have a party for you so Esme, Rose and I threw this together for you.
Please use each in turn.
Love from your new family,
Alice, Esme and Rosalie
P.S. I bought the swimsuit, the lingerie is from the other two.
I sighed and closed the French doors as Edward slipped into the bathroom to slip into his swim trunks. I slipped into the bathing suit and eyed myself in the mirror on the wall. It made me look pretty. It was tight across the butt, but I liked it. Giggling, I turned to see Edward staring at me. His eyes were roaming my body in the suit. He’d never seen me in a bathing suit I knew. I modeled it for him, sliding my ring off my finger before we got in the water. I cherished that ring to much to ruin it. Or lose it.
Helping me into the hot tub, I gasped as the hot water engulfed my legs. I did a little dance and sat suddenly, landing with an echoing thud as I slipped. I was right on the edge of a ridge.
“Oh!!!! I’ve been butt raped.” Rubbing my rear I moved over and sat beside Edward as he laughed. His arm encircled my shoulder, holding me close to his body as we watched the lights of fishing boats bob on the water in the distance. The sun had set and there was a little light left in the sky, the stars twinkling bright in a cloud dusted sky.
I prayed tomorrow wouldn’t be sunny. Wait… I wasn’t going anywhere… so I suppose it’d be okay. I looked at Edward, his oh so beautiful eyes staring down at me, “what are you thinking?” His fingers ran up and down my arm, tracing little spots here and there before continuing down my body.
It was distracting, his touch, it burned a soft pattern along my arm and side. Staring up into eyes it took me a minute to realize that the gentle tugging was Edward untying the sides of my bikini bottom. I gasped and a smile quirked his mouth.
“Are you going to deny me what’s mine this night Isabella Cullen?” The last name was so foreign. Even if it was my last name, it was still foreign to me for the time. But I loved hearing it roll off his tongue.
“Of course not Edward. I just didn’t expect you to want me in a hot tub.” I laughed and granted him what he wanted. I slid onto Edward’s lap without thinking, straddling him a soft blush blotching my cheeks. His eyes widened as I sat poised on his lap. “Do what you will with me Edward. I am your wife. You have me for life.” I lost all train of thought then. His mouth pressed to mine, his lips moving with mine, working with each gentle movement of my quivering lips. He was perfect, so relaxed. I didn’t know if I could handle his calm. I didn’t have to wait long though before his calm turned to serious need. He untied my top with the ease of a flick of the wrist in a downward motion. I was naked then, him cradling me in his arms as we got out of the hot tub. A towel was wrapped around me, drying me so the sheets wouldn’t be wet when we slept. I didn’t stop him though, there was nothing to stop. I was his wife. There was no way I could really stop him if I wanted to.
He laid me out on the bed and joined me soon, naked. The night blurred together in our passion. We made love all night, not once stopping for a break, our moans and cries mingling as we worked together in our passion. It had hurt in the beginning, but it never stopped me from feeling wonderful as I sailed in the clouds, Edward at my side.
When I slept, it lasted the day Edward pretending to sleep even though I knew he had stared at me the whole time. When night came I awoke and needed to eat. Brand new food was brought in, bowls of chopped fruit that melted in my mouth as I devoured it. Edward went in and took a shower. Grabbing one of the bags of lingerie, I pulled on a powder pink lace nightie. Everything was see through, including the top. The panties consisted of a very small area and then a thin piece of cloth. I’d never worn a thong before but it didn’t bother me much. When I finished eating, I walked to the hot tub and grabbed my swim suit. It floated on the surface of the water.
A loud intake of breath made me turn to Edward, wrapped in a towel and dripping water onto the floor. He was so gorgeous. His eyes roamed over the nightie enjoying every curve he could see.
With a squeal picked me up and walked to the bed, tossing my onto the pillow top. He was pinning me down then his mouth and teeth grazing my neck. He bit then, making me gasp aloud and squirm as I felt the warmth of my blood pooling at that area. A fire exploded in my neck and as Edward pulled away I stared at him.
“It’s time my love. I’m sorry.” I nodded and cried out again as Edward bit the inside of my thigh. I guess the more venom that ran through my system, the faster the transformation would be.
I breathed heavily, keeping my eyes closed as I hyperventilated and thrashed about on the bed. Unconsciousness took me and I fell into a fantasy. One I didn’t like.
Everything was dark around me, I could hear voices. Deep, dark voices that called me from somewhere I didn’t want to go. I followed the voices and stared around me. I felt so alone. It was cold, I knew because snow fell around me, but I didn’t know where I was. I stepped farther, a soft light reaching me in the distance. It was an orange glow. The promise of warmth. FIRE! I ran toward it, watching as it grew brighter and brighter.
Black smoke billowed from the fire and I slowed to a walk as figures came into view. Looking at them I noticed the tall broadened figures of the wolves. Looking into the black smoke and fire, limbs were burning. One hand had a blackening ring on it.
“NO!!!!” running into the clearing I attacked the nearest wolf. It was Sam. I tore at him, his arm ripping away from his body. The others were in shock. I continued to rip and tear him apart until he was no more than a pile of ripped and dead limbs. Moving into a crouch, I growled deep in my throat. Jacob. He was staring at me with sad, lonely eyes. He’d die last.
Turning, I let him watch as I ripped his pack apart, feeding off their dripping blood. I was going crazy and I wouldn’t stop until they were all dead. “Murderer…” I hissed as Leah fell, her decapitated torso crumpling to the ground. I held her head by the hair. She was ugly. I tossed her head into the fire and advanced on Jacob.
“Bella…” his image melted and fragmented until Edward stood where Jacob had. The fire was gone and around me lay the dismembered bodies of my family. Rosalie, her head torn off, Emmett his eyes wide in terror. Esme… soft in her death, still motherly and young. What had I done?
“Edward! What have I… I… help me.” he backed away slowly.
“You wouldn’t listen… You wouldn’t accept drinking animal blood. You’re dead to me.” his ring dropped like a dead weight to the ground.
I collapsed, crying hard. I couldn’t live without him. Slowly, I put the pieces of my family back together, matching their limbs to their bodies until they were pieced back together… like a puzzle.
They’re limbs melted together and I stared as they sat up and eyed me in terror. Tears poured down my face as I rocked back and forth. Esme held me and I begged and begged for them to forgive me. They did, each one in turn… but Edward was gone.
Crawling to his ring, I picked it up and cradled it in my arms, “EDWARD!!! DON’T LEAVE ME!” I screamed it to the howling wind. “I’M SORRY!” He never came though and for years I struggled with the pain of his disappearance. I battled the blood lust for humans and conquered it. It had been hard, but for Edward, I would’ve done anything for him. I was going to do it for him as well.
Many years later, Italy called me and I went to the same town where Edward had stood in the shadows, preparing to expose himself to the blaring sun. I stood in the courtyard, staring up at the clock that had chimed away as my heart had pounded.
Jane met me at the door and I followed her, her mind trying to batter mine but never breaking a single thread in my defenses. I still wore my wedding ring, Edward’s dangling around my neck as I waited each agonizing day for his appearance. I was a valuable asset to the Volturi and even though my hate for them was thoroughly treacherous. They disliked the growls I gave them, the distasteful disgusted replies to their many letters asking for my help. I’d refused every time until now. What did I have to lose? I’d lost Edward. It wasn’t anything too bad to lose my life. I followed Jane silently, lost in my thoughts as she led me into a room and left me there. The screech of a bolt made me turn and realize she’d locked me in. A door across the way opened and a russet head back in, laughing. The door slammed in his face and I stared in wonder at hair I hadn’t seen in years. I didn’t dare reach out though, for fear he’d gone wild. My Edward. My sweet husband who’d always meant the world to me and made me the strong vampire I was today. I could beat Emmett when we wrestled and I could fight viciously, just like Jasper. Esme had taught me her motherly ways, Rosalie her beauty tips. Alice… Alice had taught me never to fear the worst. She’d been communicating with Edward for those long years and stepping forward, I set my hand on Edward’s shoulder.
“Edward?” my voice was a whisper and he turned, his molten gold eyes boring into mine. It was him. The surprise on his face masked my own. He studied me, his fingers moving to touch me then stopping and moving to his wedding ring. He touched it lightly and I smiled, “yeah. I’ve worn it since the day you left. You made me realize something that day. You changed me into the vampire I am today. So many years have passed since last I saw you. Rene and Phil had a child. A baby boy. He is named Christopher. He’s in his late fifties now. His older sister Bella just a memory to his parents. It was tragic the death we’d suffered on our way home…” I laughed softly and took the ring off the necklace. Placing it into his out stretched hand I laid it in his palm. “Don’t forget me.” I stared at him with sad eyes.
“Bella.” with so swift a motion that would’ve surprised me had I been human, Edward closed the space between us and pressed his mouth hard to mine. I was stiff for a moment before I melted into his arms and kissed him with the same feverish passion we’d shared that first night as husband and wife.
“Oh Edward. I’ve missed you.” we kissed and held each other, Edward watching as I slid his ring back onto his finger. There was a new light in his eyes. An alive light that made the world bright. I was finally home…
I gasped as I woke up, staring around me. Edward was at my side, reading, his fingers idly tracing through my hair. Turning my head, he snapped the book shut and stared down at me, “hello beautiful.”
“Hello my love.” I smiled and kissed his palm. I had made it. I was finally a vampire. “How long have I been unconscious?”
“Oh.. About a week.” Alice laughed as she came in. She smiled at me and I realized we were back in Forks, in Edward’s room. I was tucked in tight on his bed and I smiled at my sister. “You’ve been hallucinating.”
“Oh my god. That was the worst thing!” I recounted the whole thing for them and when I finished, Edward kissed me hard, his lips pressing so real and hard to mine. I felt his love flow into me as I pulled away gasping. The family was there now, smiling at us as I sat up and sighed.
“I will never leave your side Isabella Swan. We are your family and we’ll help you. Together.” I’d never felt more love or happiness. I knew, once again…. That I was home.
